Fee Waiver FAQ

How do I get my $75 application fee waiver?

Easy! Check in to Scholars’ Day, attend the sessions that interest you and indicate that you qualify for a fee waiver when completing your admission application through Common App. Note: ApplyTexas does not require you to indicate you qualify for a fee waiver.

Submitting through Common App (Freshman)

• On the Common App dashboard, go to “My Colleges” and select your UT Dallas application.
• Under the College Information section, select “General.”
• Locate the question, “UTD Application fee waiver options:”
• From the drop-down menu, select “Attended/Will Attend In-Person Prospective Student Event.”
• Complete and submit your UT Dallas application.

Students Submitting through ApplyTexas (Freshmen, Transfer)

• Complete and submit your application to UTD.
• An applicant who submits their application by the listed date below will qualify for a $75 fee waiver, no further action is required.

Dates for Submitting a Fee Waiver

• High school seniors and transfer students must select the request for a fee waiver (if applying through Common App) and submit their application by Sunday, November 16, 2025.
• High school juniors must select the request for a fee waiver (if applying through Common App) and submit their application between July 1, 2026, and October 1, 2026.
