What is your favorite local restaurant?
Cane Rosso has a phenomenal Alfredo pizza selection that fills my garlic-loving heart with joy. If you’re looking for great Asian food, Royal Sichuan in Richardson Chinatown is also a winner.
How did your college experience help shape who you are?
My degree allowed me to broadly study literature, art history, language, philosophy, and political science. This diversity of subjects and experiences helps me consider the world through an interdisciplinary lens and examine the networks that connect us. I encourage students to consider their interests and explore widely during college, which is one of the best opportunities to broaden their minds!
What advice do you have for students beginning their college search?
Diving into research will help you make this process your own. Exploring online resources and tour experiences — even at universities you might not be considering — will help you better understand your goals and the environment you seek. Additionally, your admissions counselors are ready and willing to help you connect with the organizations, professors, and resources you will benefit from as a UT Dallas student.
